Screw pump หรือ Rotary screw pump

สกรูปั๊ม เป็นปั๊มที่มีปริมาณการไหลคงที่ (Positive displacement pump) ใช้หลักการการหมุนของสกรู (Screw) ในการขับดันของใหลให้ใหลผ่านช่องว่าง (Cavity) ในเสื้อ (Casing or Stator) แล้วบีบอัดไปตามการหมุนของสกรู มีการออกแบบหลายๆรูปแบบ เพื่อการใช้งานที่ต่างกัน

1. แบบสกรูเดี่ยว (Single screw pump หรือ Peristaltic pump หรือ PC pump)
2. แบบสกรูคู่ (Double screw pump)
3. แบบ 3 สกรู (Triple screw pump)
4. แบบ 4 สกรู (Four screw pump)

Application

Rotary screw pumps are used widely in vacuum process in various industries such as power generation, shipping, chemical processing, terminals, refineries, pipelines, oil and gas production and food processing. In the power generation zone, these pumps use for jacking oil, fuel supply, high-pressure fuel injection, gear and bearing lubrication, and water power for applications in the control of hydroelectric plants.

Rotating screw pumps is a machine that needs very low maintenance and has few rotating components. With the help of these pumps, you can effectively pump fixed volume products in a variety of viscosity, pressure, and volume ranges.

• high tolerance against water vapor and particles/dust
• scales to customer requirements
• very high pumping speeds
• no contamination of the medium being pumped
• frictionless rotation - rotor wear is eliminated
• highly efficient due to internal compression
• operational costs and maintenance requirements are relatively low
• frequency converter operation – easily optimized for process requirements – leads to high energy efficiency

ข้อเสีย
Disadvantages

• a gas ballast needed to pump light gasses
• worse ultimate pressure and lower pumping speed for light gasses (Helium and Hydrogen) if without gas ballast
• cannot be scaled down to small pumping speeds below 50 m³/h; below approx. 100 m³/h multistage roots or scroll pumps are used
