Sure-Grip® Bushings

sure grip bushings

Features

Flangeless "L" Series A flangeless line of Sure-Grip bushings are also available in sizes "SKL" through "FL". These bushings are used on products that do not have sufficient clearance to position the bushing flange under the outside rim.

Are Easy to Install and Remove All sizes except "QT" and "JA" are supplied with a set screw over the key to help maintain the bushing position on the shaft until the mounting cap screws are securely torqued. The cap screws that are used for mounting are also used for quick removal of the bushing. The positive locking feature of the clamp fit eliminates fretting corrosion between the shaft and the bone.

Permit Four-Way Mounting Most Sure-Grip bushings allow for four way mounting. See catalog for standard and reverse mounting sketches.

Provide a True Clamp Fit Sure-Grip® bushings are split through the flange and taper to provide a true clamp fit on the shaft that is the equivalent of a shrink fit. They have a gradual taper (3/4" per ft. on diameter) which is approximately half the inclined angle of some other tapered bushings. The result is a secure clamp on the shaft, with twice the force of other competitive bushings, to provide extreme holding power.

Taper-Lock Bushings

The Taper-Lock bushing system keeps the sprocket hubs narrow so the length-thru-bore dimension is less than ever before. The left-justified hub design allows shaft mounting close to bearings, keeping the center of load dimension small while preventing issues with high overhung loads.

Taper-Lock bushings are split through the flange and gradual taper to provide a true clamp fit on the shaft that is the equivalent of a shrink fit.
